Performance mode
Performance mode keeps the screen dark. No script text, no prominent controls, no bright UI glow reflecting off your face on camera. Just a dark screen and the orb — a subtle visual pulse that tells you when Oteria is listening and when it’s about to speak.
This mode uses strict matching to follow your lines more closely. The rehearsal controls remain available when you need to pause, stop or skip. Film with a separate phone or camera; Oteria does not record video.
Control the beat between turns
Every scene has its own rhythm. A tense interrogation lands differently than a slow goodbye. Oteria lets you set the pause between turns — tight for rapid-fire exchanges, natural for conversational scenes, slow for weight, long for those beats where the silence does the acting.
Test the pacing before you record. Prepared partner lines replay consistently, while the next cue follows your delivery.

Redo a line instantly
Flubbed a line. Lost the emotion. Wanted a different choice. Use Redo line to replay the partner or try your own line again. You can skip, pause or stop from the on-screen controls on phones as well as computers. On a keyboard, use the up arrow to redo or R to restart. Your phone or camera recording is controlled separately.
From script to recording
Paste your sides, drop a PDF, or photograph printed pages. AI cleanup can help with messy formatting. Check the words against your original.
Cast voices for the other characters. A curated library with a range of characters — warm, sharp, young, old. Adjust speed per character.
Toggle Performance mode. Set the beat between turns to match the scene’s rhythm.
Test a short exchange, then start your camera recording and begin the scene. Speak your lines and listen for the cues.
Follow the audition brief’s requirements about readers and AI tools. If it requires a human reader, use one.
